The New Jersey Department of Transportation has partnered with RideWise on a new statewide Safe Routes to School initiative.  The goal is to help schools make walking and cycling to school safe and fun.

RideWise is available to provide technical assistance to schools interested in starting a Safe Routes program.  The agency will work with schools to develop walking school buses, conduct walkability and bikeability audits, create school travel plans and apply for infrastructure grants.
